LGI to help Lille become a low carbon city

LGI was selected to help the French city of Lille develop their low carbon strategy, as part of the European Interreg project MOLOC.

MOLOC aims to develop a new city building approach, associating quality of life and energy efficiency. MOLOC stands for MOrphologies Low Carbon and will explore the brakes that limit the impact of local policies and actions in their ambitions to change current urban morphologies in the light of sustainable urban development.

LGI will carry out a study on the ten barriers that were previously identified for Lille. Based on the results of this study, LGI will help design an action plan, lead working groups, facilitate co-creation workshops and implement evaluation tools.

The team working on this project is specialised in smart and sustainable cities and will use its expertise and experience in defining roadmaps to support Lille in becoming a model low carbon city.
