Confirmed consultant in European project development and management

We are currently recruiting a confirmed consultant for our Management consulting business unit. You will quickly take a lead role in missions for our clients and in internal actions for the development of our services. The missions will involve defining, positioning and organising the projects, along with writing H2020 proposals and taking responsibility for all aspects of the projects’ life cycle. The variety of missions for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordination of H2020 proposals writing
  • Managing or guiding H2020 projects
  • Animation of the project network or community, fostering new actions and activities
  • Advising on funding opportunities
  • Animation of H2020 training sessions

What we’re looking for

Background:

  • Engineering or scientific background
  • Have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience with EU funding programmes, preferably in one or several of our key sectors: low-carbon energy, environment, climate, smart cities, mobility, raw materials/circular economy/eco-conception

Consulting skills:

  • A first experience as a consultant is appreciated
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of European mechanisms, in particular in R&D and innovation funding
  • Adapt, be able to grasp an idea/project quickly in various sectors and changing environments
  • Have a broad innovation culture

Personal skills:

  • Be open-minded and able to generate new and unconventional ideas
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate ability for team work
  • Be flexible and able to prioritise and manage tasks independently in an international and fast-moving work environment
  • Be result-oriented on mission delivery and quality, including ability to work both at macro and micro levels
  • Combine an analytical mindset with an ability to synthesise, prioritise and present results

General skills:

  • Be fluent in English and French (oral & written)
  • Possibly, have worked in at least one additional language
  • Have advanced knowledge of core Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Communications Manager in European R&D&I projects (H2020)

We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager who will design and implement targeted communication and dissemination strategies and strive to have as many people as possible hear about the European R&D projects (Horizon 2020) that we are involved in.

The main target audiences we target are the scientific community, industry, market actors, policymakers at EU and national level, media and the general public.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead communication and/or dissemination work packages or tasks autonomously, including budget management
  • Come up with loads of great communications ideas and execute them
  • Design beautiful communication material and tools including the project’s visual identity (logos), posters, flyers, booklets, illustrations, newsletters, videos
  • Community management: Develop social media strategies, coordinate and grow our projects’ communities in Europe through social media, events and networking activities
  • Build/update/maintain websites using WordPress
  • Generate content by writing, editing and copywriting reports, articles and posts
  • Monitor the impact of your activities
  • Press relations: create great content and push it to journalists and bloggers
  • Coordinating and providing guidance and support to the rest of the communications team

What we’re looking for

  • Native English speaker, fluent French, another European language a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience working in communications, with a focus on scientific or research-oriented projects
  • Communications experience in European Horizon 2020 projects
  • Graphic design skills is a great plus: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. An eye for design is a minimum
  • Experience in building/updating websites in WordPress
  • Great writing and oral skills – we’re looking for a confident communicator and presentor
  • A self-starter who can come up with new ideas and execute them autonomously
  • Able to work the startup way: agile, focused, hacker-minded, DIY mindset

The job also entails proposal writing and business development for European projects but also B2B contracts.

Innovation strategy consultant (focus on circular economy / low-carbon energies)

We are currently recruiting an Innovation Strategist to reinforce our team. The applicant will be involved in projects that relate to strategic thinking of innovation, particularly in the field of circular economy (raw materials, recycling…) and low-carbon energies. The variety of missions for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors including: energy, climate change, etc. The position will imply the following activities:

  • Market research and assessments
  • Technology intelligence
  • Life cycle assessments
  • Business model innovation, design thinking
  • Stakeholders mapping and qualification

The consultant may also take part in other general activities such economic studies and roadmapping; management of collaborative projects and open innovation.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, the applicant must demonstrate the following:

Background:

  • Combine engineering or scientific background, complemented with business / marketing
  • Have at least 2-3 years of experience in the field of raw materials and additional professional background in one of the following key sectors: low-carbon energy; environment/climate; circular economy/eco-conception
