Administrative and Events Assistant

We are currently recruiting an Administrative and Events Assistant for our Management consulting business unit. You will be involved in supporting the administrative and event activities of various national and European projects and clusters. The variety of missions for this position requires a precise, committed and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors and audience (academics, institutions, policy-makers, industry).

What you’ll be doing

  • Events management
    • Identification and classification of service providers in France and Europe
    • Contribution to the development of tenders
    • Coordination with the client
    • Identification and negotiation of venues contracts and subcontract management
    • Preparation of the logistics of events (agenda, speakers, registration, badges, goodies, etc)
    • Reimbursement of participants if necessary
  • Cluster administrative & financial operations
    • Preparation of annual membership fees
    • Preparation of bank payments
    • Preparation of annual closing
    • Managing interactions with service providers: accountants, bank, lawyers, auditors
    • Maintenance of documentation, databases, contact information, web document repository
  • Ad hoc assignments
    • Update of R&D projects’ websites
    • The position may also imply internal activities of LGI such as consolidation of management tools, contribution to deployment of online tools, and so on.

What we’re looking for

Background:

  • Background in administration / event support
  • Have a first professional experience in event support

Personal skills:

  • Be open-minded
  • Be autonomous and able to prioritise and manage tasks independently
  • Be result-oriented on mission delivery and quality
  • Be a proactive team player
  • Demonstrate a practical mind and attention to detail
  • Ability to work on different projects at the same time

General skills:

  • Be fluent in English and French (oral & written)
  • Have practical know-how with core Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The job also entails proposal writing and business development for European projects but also B2B contracts.

Confirmed consultant in European project development and management

We are currently recruiting a confirmed consultant for our Management consulting business unit. You will quickly take a lead role in missions for our clients and in internal actions for the development of our services. The missions will involve defining, positioning and organising the projects, along with writing H2020 proposals and taking responsibility for all aspects of the projects’ life cycle. The variety of missions for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordination of H2020 proposals writing
  • Managing or guiding H2020 projects
  • Animation of the project network or community, fostering new actions and activities
  • Advising on funding opportunities
  • Animation of H2020 training sessions

What we’re looking for

Background:

  • Engineering or scientific background
  • Have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience with EU funding programmes, preferably in one or several of our key sectors: low-carbon energy, environment, climate, smart cities, mobility, raw materials/circular economy/eco-conception

Consulting skills:

  • A first experience as a consultant is appreciated
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of European mechanisms, in particular in R&D and innovation funding
  • Adapt, be able to grasp an idea/project quickly in various sectors and changing environments
  • Have a broad innovation culture

Personal skills:

  • Be open-minded and able to generate new and unconventional ideas
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate ability for team work
  • Be flexible and able to prioritise and manage tasks independently in an international and fast-moving work environment
  • Be result-oriented on mission delivery and quality, including ability to work both at macro and micro levels
  • Combine an analytical mindset with an ability to synthesise, prioritise and present results

General skills:

  • Be fluent in English and French (oral & written)
  • Possibly, have worked in at least one additional language
  • Have advanced knowledge of core Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
