Innovation strategy consultant (focus on circular economy / low-carbon energies)

We are currently recruiting an Innovation Strategist to reinforce our team. The applicant will be involved in projects that relate to strategic thinking of innovation, particularly in the field of circular economy (raw materials, recycling…) and low-carbon energies. The variety of missions for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors including: energy, climate change, etc. The position will imply the following activities:

  • Market research and assessments
  • Technology intelligence
  • Life cycle assessments
  • Business model innovation, design thinking
  • Stakeholders mapping and qualification

The consultant may also take part in other general activities such economic studies and roadmapping; management of collaborative projects and open innovation.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, the applicant must demonstrate the following:

Background:

  • Combine engineering or scientific background, complemented with business / marketing
  • Have at least 2-3 years of experience in the field of raw materials and additional professional background in one of the following key sectors: low-carbon energy; environment/climate; circular economy/eco-conception

Consulting skills:

  • A first experience as a consultant is appreciated
  • Demonstrate a balanced understanding of technology and its usage
  • Adapt, be able to grasp an idea/project quickly in various sectors and changing environments
  • Have a broad innovation culture

Personal skills:

  • Be open-minded and able to generate new and unconventional ideas
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate ability for team work
  • Be flexible and able to prioritise and manage tasks independently in an international and fast-moving work environment
  • Be result-oriented on mission delivery and quality, including ability to work both at macro and micro levels
  • Combine an analytical mindset with an ability to summarise, prioritise and present results

General skills:

  • Excellent skills in English and French (oral & written)
  • Possibly, have worked in at least one additional language
  • Have advanced knowledge of core Microsoft software, and particularly Word (referencing, editing and formatting reports)
  • Basic programming skills is a plus (VBA, python…)

Job conditions

  • Permanent or temporary position, depending on the profile (CDI or CDD)
  • Full-time
  • Based in Paris (11th district)
  • Integrating a team of 25 (average age 31 years)
  • Salary package corresponding to experience; the company’s policy includes bonuses, luncheon vouchers, accident insurance, partial coverage of medical insurance, partial coverage of mobile phone cost, and reimbursement of daily travel (Pass Navigo)
  • The position requires regular international travel (mainly EU)
  • To start as soon as possible
