LGI is a European innovation consultancy. We define ourselves as innovation catalysts, helping our clients get their projects off the ground and reach their goals.   • JOB TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER – EU HORIZON 2020 PROJECTS

    We are looking for a Communications Officer with previous experience in EU Horizon 2020 projects or in the nuclear energy field.

    You will support the development and implementation of targeted communication and dissemination strategies and strive to have as many people as possible hear about the projects you are involved in. The projects are in the energy sectors, in particular the nuclear field.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Come up with great communications ideas and execute them
    • Community management: coordinate and grow our projects’ communities in Europe, online using social media and offline through events
    • Build/update/maintain websites using WordPress
    • Write, edit and revise reports, articles and posts
    • Design and draft beautiful and clear communication material including posters, flyers and brochures with a high level of finish and polish
    • Press relations: create great content and push it to journalists and bloggers

     

    What we’re looking for

    • Native English is an absolute must, fluent French, another European language a plus
    • At least 2 years of experience working in the communications and dissemination activities in Horizon 2020 projects
    • Ideally you’ve already worked in the nuclear energy field
    • A background in a technical field can help to communicate complex, sometimes abstract, concepts clearly and persuasively
    • Great writing and oral skills
    • Able to work the startup way: agile, focused, hacker-minded, DIY mindset
    • Graphic design skills would be a great plus: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
    • Experience in building/updating websites in WordPress is also a plus

  • JOB TITLE: CONFIRMED CONSULTANT IN EUROPEAN PROJECT FUNDING AND MANAGEMENT

    We are currently recruiting a confirmed consultant for our Management consulting business unit. You will quickly take a lead role in missions for our clients and in internal actions for the development of our services. The missions will involve defining, positioning and organising the projects, along with writing H2020 proposals and taking responsibility for all aspects of the projects’ life cycle. The variety of missions for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors.

     

    What you’ll be doing

    • Coordination of H2020 proposals writing
    • Managing or guiding H2020 projects
    • Animation of the project network or community, fostering new actions and activities
    • Advising on funding opportunities
    • Animation of H2020 training sessions

    You will take the lead on LGI H2020 proposal writing activities in the short term.

     

    What we are looking for

    Background:

    • Engineering or scientific background
    • Have at least 5 years’ experience in at least one of our key sectors: low-carbon energy/smart grids, environment/climate, raw materials/circular economy/eco-conception

    Consulting skills:

    • A first experience as a consultant is appreciated
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of European mechanisms, in particular in R&D and innovation funding

    We are currently recruiting a Cluster Management Assistant for our Management consulting business unit. The applicant will be involved in supporting the management activities of different national, European or international clusters for technology & innovation, as well as some collaborative R&D projects. The variety of missions for this position requires a multidisciplinary and open-minded profile, with the ability to work in different sectors; the main focus on the short to mid-term will be on circular economy (in particular recycling, raw materials) and sustainable nuclear energy. The position will imply the following activities:

    What you’ll be doing

    • Back-office: cluster administrative & financial operations
      • Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing annual membership fees
      • Managing accounts payable, including preparing bank payments
      • Preparing annual closing
      • Managing interactions with supporting stakeholders: accountants, bank, lawyers, auditors
      • Maintenance of documentation, databases, contact information, web document repository

     

    • Front-office
      • Filing decisions for annual general assemblies
      • Support to the governing bodies, including meetings
      • Contact point for the cluster members on admin, financial and online tools matters
      • Contribution to event management (i.e. conferences, workshops, exhibitions, …)

     

    • Ad hoc assignments
      • Contribution to the development of R&D proposals and tenders (i.e. consolidation of administrative and financial information…)

  • JOB TITLE: EUROPEAN PROJECT CONSULTANT

    The European Project Consultant will be involved as a project assistant, in particular for collaborative research and innovation schemes, such as the EU Framework Programmes. He/she will assist the senior consultants in charge of the projects. Projects are typically European collaborative projects related to technological development, in various sectors (energy, transport, security…) and involving several companies or R&D centres in Europe. The job duties include: administrative and financial management, direct contact and first level of assistance to the project partners, gathering updated information to monitor and report on the progress and the finance of the project, completing submission and reporting forms, assistance in organising events.

    This position will sometimes imply working under time pressure and to abide by deadlines imposed by customers and other stakeholders.

     

    Requirements

    In order to be considered for this position, candidates must:

    • Have a degree in European project management, or demonstrated knowledge and experience with the management of European-funded R&D and innovation (e.g. Framework Programmes FP7; H2020)
    • Be fluent in English and French
    • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate and work with both business people and academics
    • Be result-oriented and focused on project delivery and its quality
    • Be a proactive team player with a strong work ethos, demonstrating a practical mind and attention to detail
    • Show ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and projects in an international and fast-moving work environment
    • Have financial planning / budgeting skills
    • Have advanced knowledge of core Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

     

    And preferably he/she will:

    • Have experience in the energy, transport, environment or security sectors and a technical understanding of the related technologies
    • Have a good knowledge of planning software (MS Project, Primavera, Open Workbench or others)
    • Be fluent in at least one other EU language in addition to French and English
